It feels like there’s a lot of pressure to write exactly the “right” thing for the first post. The right introduction of myself. The right summary of what you might read here in the future. The right feeling to keep you coming back. That’s silly, of course, because the first post is likely to be at the bottom of a hundred other posts by the time many people make their way here. Which poses a completely different problem: what if I say all of my most important thoughts at the very beginning and no one ever reads them?! That’s highly unlikely, though, because I have a lot of thoughts and simply want someplace to put them all. So I guess this first post will just be short and sweet so that I can get it out of the way.
